Independance Day--Jesse Helms dead
Former South Carolina senator Jesse Helms died on 4 July at age 86. A number of Republicans spoke kindly of him after learning the news. They seemed to forget that he was a racist and a bigot, a man filled with hate.
Jesse Helms is dead at last;
I'm not sorry he has passed.
No gentleman, despite what's said,
We're better off now that he's dead.
If we're rewarded when we cross the River,
Eagles will be tearing Jesse's liver.
