What part of this is not in the Bible?

According to an AP report in the York (Penna.) Daily News:
A man who believed he bore the "mark of the beast" used a circular saw to cut off one hand, then he cooked it in the microwave and called 911, authorities said.
The book of Matthew says and if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It does not say cook it.

I had no idea when I heard that story before that it was from York. Crap. It's somehow worse when the whackos are relatively local, isn't it?

Anyway, I'm glad I came across your blog. Oh, if you don't mind, could you turn off that word verification? It's a pain in the butt. See ya around the atheosphere.

Oh sorry, no, York isn't ready for such antics yet. The AP story was carried in the York paper; the event occurred in Hayden, Idaho.

I probably will kill the comment verification--I frequently have difficulty commenting on other blogs that use the same commenting.

Ah, ok. That's somehow better to me. Plus, I can sort of understand going crazy surrounded by spuds.
